tinyurl.com/666TonsOfDownloads

This multitrack has been made available for education purposes only. Obviously.

Three songs, 15 tracks, 19 minutes.
There’s a lot of good stuff here. The drum performance is superb and the gear I was allowed to toss around was sublime. HAVE FUN!

Here are my favorite grooves of this session (these are UNPROCESSED, panned and gain staged):

PERFORMANCE: Ruari Ferguson

A HUGE THANK YOU for his patience and professionalism during recording and allowing me to make these public for anyone to learn from. You can hear more of him on NADIR and UNDERKRIPT.

Throwback to Filey Road studios - RIP
Sidenote: Cheers to the A+++ team Alan, Chris, Rob, Matt, et al. 🤍

GEAR

Avid C24 desk + Avalon V55

Kick - AKG D112, Shure Beta 91A

Snare - Shure SM7 top, Neumann u87 bottom

Toms - MD421 x2, SM57 x2

HiHat - AKG C1000

OH - Neumann KM140 matched pair into the Avalon

Weird ambient stereo pair of 57s - pointing at flipped wooden table on floor - this is a Clint Murphy inspired setup to get more diffusion as we were recording in a small and very dead room

Splashes - AKG C414 XLII matched pair

Man that’s a terrible picture, but this is the control room with the Avid C24 on the left of potato… i mean left of camera.
